May is Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection & Prevention Month! The American Academy of Dermatology is offering free Skin Cancer screenings at 285 locations across America! Some of these locations doing the free screenings are available during the whole month of may, others are limited to specific dates or times. Check the list here to see if there is a screening near you. Also, on their homepage you can watch a video of what to expect during a Skin Cancer Screening

I cannot stress how important it is to take advantage of this free offer, especially since there are so many people without health insurance. Skin Cancer can strike at any age, my husband had it when he was 19 years old. Do yourself a favor and find a free screening near you! =)

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately none of the screenings are available here in Montana. As if we don't spend time in the sun or anything?!? But this gives me some leverage to try and see if I can get some local businesses to work together to create a free screening in our area. Thanks again!
